Established in 1988 and proudly listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited since 1993, under Stock Code: 716, Singamas Container Holdings Limited ("Singamas") stands as a premier leader in container manufacturing, container depot operations, and comprehensive logistics services provision.
Launching its inaugural container factory in Shanghai in 1990, Singamas has consistently viewed China as a pivotal hub for its manufacturing operations. This strategic foresight led to the establishment of factories strategically positioned at key coastal ports, now operating four facilities across China. This robust and versatile production power has empowered Singamas to deliver an extensive array of products, including dry freight containers, collapsible flatrack containers, open top containers, bitutainers, tank containers, offshore containers, and other specialized units. Currently, with a production capacity capable of 320,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), Singamas is recognized as one of the world's largest container manufacturers.
Extending beyond manufacturing, Singamas' evolution into logistics services stems from early recognition of the increasing demand within the global shipping community. By 1994, container depots were operational in Tianjin and Qingdao, paving the way for a formal diversification into logistics by 2001. Over the following decade, Singamas established eight container depots across China and inaugurated a logistics company in Xiamen in 2001.
While staunchly advancing Singamas' growth, the management also appreciates that industry-wide progression is indispensable for the company's own growth trajectory. Consequently, significant investments continue to be made in automation, environmental stewardship, and workplace safety, underscoring a commitment to exemplary corporate citizenship and industry leadership.
